Smoke covers Singapore

The thick smoke which smells burnt leaves started to engulf the entire Singapore last Monday June 17. According to the news the haze came from the Sumatra, Indonesian forest fire and worsened day after day. Last Wednesday night the PSI (Pollutant Standard Index) reached the hazardous level of 321, worst in Singapore's history.

Most people including tourists now wore face masks to cover the nose and mouth. The government now asked the public to stay indoor as much as possible as this situation is beyond their control.  The haze can aggravates respiratory ailments and can caused difficulty in breathing. Eyes becomes dry and itchy.

Our view on a sunny day. Clear blue skies, green surrounding, clean
such a photogenic place in any angle.

And now smoke is all over the island. The haze might persist in the next few days.

Singapore has been my second home for years now and seeing its beauty and its people now at risks because of allegedly setting off fires to clear land, just hurts me and my family.

May God bless us all in this crisis. May God keep all of us safe under each other's care.

We managed to get face masks at Guardian so we didn't miss the premier of the movie World War Z anyway life must go on after all...

We are all looking forward to see your beauty again Singapore...
