Smoke covers Singapore

The thick smoke which smells burnt leaves started to engulf the entire Singapore last Monday June 17. According to the news the haze came from the Sumatra, Indonesian forest fire and worsened day after day. Last Wednesday night the PSI (Pollutant Standard Index) reached the hazardous level of 321, worst in Singapore's history.

Most people including tourists now wore face masks to cover the nose and mouth. The government now asked the public to stay indoor as much as possible as this situation is beyond their control.  The haze can aggravates respiratory ailments and can caused difficulty in breathing. Eyes becomes dry and itchy.

Our view on a sunny day. Clear blue skies, green surrounding, clean
such a photogenic place in any angle.

And now smoke is all over the island. The haze might persist in the next few days.

Singapore has been my second home for years now and seeing its beauty and its people now at risks because of allegedly setting off fires to clear land, just hurts me and my family.

May God bless us all in this crisis. May God keep all of us safe under each other's care.

We managed to get face masks at Guardian so we didn't miss the premier of the movie World War Z anyway life must go on after all...

We are all looking forward to see your beauty again Singapore...

You are my Superman

I woke up and remember it is Father's day. Yes, since I live now far away from my Tatay I just decided to make a video as gift. Budget friendly indeed! (hahaha!)

I opened  my computer gathered some old photos of my father and uncles. I dedicated some 4 hours for this video and it made me happy I hope my father and my handsome uncles will like this simple yet a priceless gift.

"I was raised, loved, and nurtured by a great man whom I called Tatay. He has shown the best form of kindness. Every day I thank God for being his daughter and I pray to God to guide me to be just like him."

A Fab and Luxurious Christmas for Free

Last Christmas of 2012, our Ninang Angge gave us an unexpected gift, a week stay at Regency House in Orchard. It was a serviced apartment, with free breakfast everyday, with facilities like rooftop pool and gym. We were both so excited to spend the entire week in Orchard as in reality our budget will never agree on the so-called luxurious getaway.

In the night time we enjoyed the beautiful Christmas display along Orchard Road. Giant Christmas trees, lanterns, Santa, just lighted up the entire stretch of the road. The mood was festive just exude that certain kind of happiness of this merry season. Tourists were all busy taking photos, the shops were crowded for holiday sales, and the smiles of those little kids running around were just priceless and lovely to look at.

Christmas is still the season to be jolly! Being grateful to God for all the blessings that you have received is still the best way to celebrate. Blessed and lucky we enjoyed first class accommodation for FREE!

Bellarocca, The White Island Paradise

Last October, I got a very sweet surprise from my husband. For weeks, he was giving me some hints where we were exactly be going but as expected he revealed to me the night before our trip. His eyes were glowing as he handed me a travel magazine and on the cover was a small island in Marinduque, Bellarocca Island Resort. I was speechless for seconds, still cannot believe and still gathered some words, “For real? Sweetheart, ang mahal doon!” Then he just whispered, “Ok lang mahal naman kita eh”.

Flight was delayed for 2 hours

We woke up early the next day, we took the MRT going to the airport to avoid the traffic but it took almost an hour to line up just to get our tickets. Oww dear sometimes things never changed. Long lines going up the station, bag check, then long lines in getting ticket and crowded train coaches. Good thing, we Filipinos were born to have great patience. And even in the midst of this complicated ordeal some men still offers their seat to women.

In the airport same scenario, long lines, bag check, and there was the 2-hour flight delay so we waited patiently. And when our flight was called I saw the plane and if I have the choice I will not board that plane I hate planes with propellers on the side it gave me weird feelings. As we entered the plane we got a very odd seat number, the lucky 13 hahaha. And this seat don’t even exist! My heart pounded I was thinking, “OMG is this a sign Not today Lord!” hahaha! I was so scared! I reached for my rosary and prayed! And the flight attendant said, “Ay Sir, Ma’am baka seat 14 po kayo.” The noise of the propellers made me more nervous good thing the plane ride was just short, 20 minutes only!

And this van picked us up in the airport
After 40 minutes land trip... A paradise started to reveal itself.
And a 5 minute boat ride
And this beautiful view just blew us away, "Greece in the Philippines"
The staff giving us a warm welcome
Our gorgeous bedroom, the sheets and pillows were so soft
Our priceless veranda view
The pool
Upon seeing this you'll think you are somewhere else

And to seal our second honeymoon, I got another surprise, a romantic dinner. My husband arranged a private dinner for us with our very own battler. Another speechless moment! I'm so blessed to have him and be his wife!

Romantic setup by our battler with romantic music in the background

A paradise with great people, sumptuous food, and breathtaking view! We went home with memories that will last us a lifetime.
